Monday, September 7th, the U.S.
recognizes employees across the country through Labor Day. Looking back all the way to the first Labor Day parade, held in 1882 in New York City, the purpose of the day is to celebrate 'the strength and esprit de corps' and the contributions and achievements of our entire working economy.
We'd like to take a special moment to thank our working residents and Balfour Beatty Communities team members whom put their best foot forward every day.
In last year's Labor Day address, U.S. Secretary of Labor, Thomas Perez
, described the bedrock that our country is built on as, 'Hard work. Responsibility. Sacrifice. And looking out for one another as one united American family.' This statement resonates strongly with our military communities and the families that we serve and we thank you for all that you do.
We hope all of our residents and employees in the greater Balfour Beatty community enjoy their weekend and have a happy Labor Day.
